Hair Curling Irons | My Favorites

I thought I would share with everyone what I have learned about Hair Curling Irons. Although these may not be professional curling irons, they do the job and very well. Curling irons for hair come in many different sizes and some of these I have used myself and some were used by my group of close friends. Hope this helps you narrow down the field of hair curling tools as there are so many options out there these days. Good luck!

Hot Tools Supertool 2" Professional Curling Iron

Hot Tools Curling Irons are great for hard to tame hair specially if you have a lot of it and it's thick. The barrel is not only large but can grab a lot of more hair at one time so it doesn't take forever. Also, it does get hot enough to do the job. One of my friends with long hair even uses it to straighten -not bone straight- but to get good volume & fullness. The long 8 foot cord is good to be able to do your whole head in a comfortable position. The gold plated barrel doesn't pull hair.

Hot Tools Professional 3/4" Curling Iron

This Hot Tools curling iron is perfect shorter or thin hair as it has a smaller 3/4” barrel. Even hard to curl thin hair gets curls that last all day. It heats up very fast -- no waiting around. This one too has the long 8 foot cord so you can do your whole head in a comfortable position. The gold plated barrel is easy on the hair and I liked the soft grip handle.

Conair Thermacell Cordless Travel Curling Irons

Cordless curling irons are a great option. This battery operated curling iron has a replaceable Thermacell butane cartridge which you can pick it for about $3 online. It includes a styling brush attachment comes with a nice carrying case. Although this is probably one of the best cordless curling irons I have seen, most of my friends are using this at home for the convenience since it is as good as the plug in ones. It heats up pretty quickly although sometimes you have to push the on button several times to light it (kind of like a lighter). I still think it is ideal for travel and probably best for medium to short hair. All said this Conair curling iron is a great option -- at home or away!
